OPEN FORUM

·         Two homeowners attended open forum. One, a former board officer, reviewed the history around the decision to move to directed proxies for voting. Specifically, he highlighted concerns around changing the process. The board will consider pros and cons in light of the background information and revisit the process in more detail.

·         Another homeowner expressed concern around the poor acoustics associated with the Village Center meeting room. He elaborated that this issue may detract from optimal homeowner meeting attendance. Cindy Shewmake Torrey will investigate some options for improving this issue.

OTHER BUSINESS

·         The board voted to suspend homeowner privileges for two homes.

·         Cindy Shewmake Torrey reported on progress for the East Deck repair. The work remains on schedule for completion prior to the opening of the pool facility.

·         Cindy Shewmake Torrey reported on the dock repair, maintenance and replacement of dock floats. Disassembly of the dock during the repair process revealed the need for additional repairs. This translates into additional costs of approximately $5,000 to restore the dock to a safe and usable status.

·         The board commended Winnie Moss, Cindy Shewmake Torrey and Melissa Wood for their CAI Homeowner Association of the year contest submission. The Grant Ranch HOA won this award for the 1,000 plus household category.

·         The board approved checks for payment.
